The Dash4Dignity 5K and Pathway to Freedom are working in our communities to End Slavery, Bring Freedom, & Restore Dignity to Humans

The Why.

Human trafficking—often called modern-day slavery—happens in every state in the United States. According to the National Human Trafficking Hotline, thousands of trafficking cases are reported every year, though many more likely go unreported.

Children and vulnerable individuals are especially at risk. The National Center for Missing & Exploited Childrenestimates that at least 100,000 youth in the U.S. are exploited in the commercial sex trade each year.

This crisis also affects our local communities. Data from the National Human Trafficking Hotline shows that thousands of victims have been identified in Maryland, highlighting the need for prevention, awareness, and survivor support in our region.

At City of Refuge Baltimore, we are committed to protecting vulnerable people, raising awareness, and supporting survivors as they pursue safety, healing, and restoration.
